Interpol, 1997 yılında New York’ta kurulmuş Amerika kökenli bir gruptur. Grubun üyeleri Paul Banks (vokal, ritim gitar), Daniel Kessler (baş gitarist, arka vokal), Carlos Dengler (bas gitar), Sam Fogarino (davul)’dur. Interpol’ün ilk albümü Turn on the Bright Lights (2002) iyi eleştiriler almış,ünlü müzik dergisi NME tarafından 2002’nin en iyi 10 albümü arasında gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca Pitchfork Media tarafından 2002 yılının en iyi albümü seçilmiştir. Daha sonra gelen Antics (2004) ve Our Love to Admire (2007) albümleri grubun başarısını onaylatmış ve müzik dünyasındaki yerini kalıcılaştırmıştır.
Half Japanese, Amerikalı avangart rock müzik grubu. Maryland’ta kurulmuştur tarafından kurulmuştur Jad Fair ve David Fair. Noise ve alternatif müzik yapan gruplarda etkileri oldukça hissedilmektedir. 1980’lerde “Half Gentlemen/Half Beasts” “The Band that Would be King” gibi rock müzikte çığır açan albümlere imza atmışlardır. 1990’larda da “Hot” “Bone Head” gibi önemli albümlerle bu çizgilerini sürdürmüşlerdir.Genelikle dinlemesi zor bir müzik yapmaktadırlar.Müziklerinde uzun distortion bölümler önemli yer tutmaktadır.
Fleet Foxes, Seattle kökenli, Sub Pop ve Bella Union plak şirketleri ile çalışmış beş kişilik bir grup. Beşli, müziklerini “doğaçlama barok harmonik pop” olarak tanımlar. Fleet Foxes, bahar turnesine Kuzeybatı grubu Blitzen Trapper ortaklığı ile 28 Şubat 2008 tarihinde başladı. İlk tam uzunluktaki albümleri Fleet Foxes 3 Haziran 2008’de piyasaya sürüldü. Bu albüm, grubu Beach Boys, Band of Horses, Animal Collective ve Crosby, Stills & Nash ile karşılaştıran Rolling Stone’dan 4 yıldız; Pitchfork’un incelemesinden de 10 üzerinden 9 puan aldı. 24 Haziran 2008’de CMJ Radio 200 listesinde 1 numaraya yükseldi.

Manchester Orchestra, 2004 yılında Atlanta, Georgia’da kurulan bir Amerikalı indie rock grubudur. Grup; gitarist, şarkıcı ve söz yazarı Andy Hull, gitarist Robert McDowell, klavyeci ve perküsyoncu Chris Freeman, basçı Jonathan Corley ve baterist Tim Very’den oluşur.
